When i read the blurb for it a tale of three female generations of a family now affected by dementia i knew this was a book i had to read. In the story two children hansel and gretel get lost in the woods. It s well written and since finishing the book i have discovered that this was another one of those audiobooks that i had requested from libby and forgotten about because there was such a long wait for it. The focus on this truly heartwarming holiday story of gratitude and charity features two little mice who suddenly find themselves homeless due to a horrible winter storm just before christmas. This is a great book for kids it is about 2nd 3rd grade level and not too long hi my name is stacy and this is my little brother steven. The gingerbread cowboy puts a big ole texas twist on the familiar gingerbread. Gingerbread houses are intricately linked to the grimm fairy tale of hansel and gretel.
